A good clinic keeps a thin chart. This catalog keeps a thinner one: aggregate page counts — which shelves get browsed, which library pages get read — and not one entry that names a person, a pet or an address.

Nothing here asks you to register, and nothing is sold on this side of the glass. The moment you click through to a listing, you are in the retail partner's building under the retail partner's privacy policy — payment, address and order history all live there, never here.

The click that carries you out carries a referral code with it. It tells the partner which catalog opened the door and nothing about who walked through it; the commission it earns is what keeps the lights on in this reading room.

Write to the front desk and the mail is read, answered and filed — not added to a list, not handed to a mailer, not followed up unbidden.
